President, David’s Swim School

David was born in the city of “Eternal Spring,” Medellin, Colombia. David is happily married with four beautiful children. As a twenty-five-year veteran and leading-edge expert in the field of swimming lessons, David has pioneered the sport of swimming and has trained some of the best swimmers in the world. He has attended aquatic therapy courses and specializes in neurological aquatic therapy.

Founder and Sports Director of the first academies for swimming in Eastern Caracas, Venezuela, including the David Hoyos Civil Association, Sports Academy David Hoyos, Inc.

David provided significant contributions to Venezuela through his prestigious coaching, schools, special programs for children, sponsorship of international competitions, and swim clinics.
David has personally taught over 90,000 students throughout the course of his career. He has been recognized internationally for his broad humanitarian work with swimming as a sport and recreation. He enjoys working with special needs children. David received the “Golden Tamanaco” and “Latin American Award for Educational Excellence” awards. Winner of the IberoAmerican educational excellence award 2016, winner TACARIGUA INTERNATIONAL 2017 and Active member of the International Swimming Federation. (FINA). Also Award winner 2021 and 2022 as the best of the best swimming program in Florida, recognized for his outstanding dedication to Drowning Prevention clinic’s international tour in 2021. Winner’s as the bests of the best swim program in south Florida 2021 and 2022.

Adriana Hoyos

Vice President, David’s Swim School

Adriana is the Vice President of David’s Swim School, an internationally recognized foundation, for children of special needs. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and is the second of three sisters. Educated with an appreciation for loving to serve and respecting others to inspire greatness. Our success is to guarantee yours. Married to David Hoyos with four beautiful children, Adriana is teacher-driven, dedicated to working very hard to help thousands of children have a good education.

Adriana has served as an American Red Cross Swimming Instructor, an aquatic therapist and has dedicated her soul to be an educator and teacher.

Adriana is known for having the dedication and willingness to be a learning mentor contributing to promote education as a quest. Adriana is an Education Major Honors Graduate from José María Vargas University in the State of Florida and a Master’s Degree in Science in Early Childhood Education.

Adriana and David founded David’s Swim School which became the most successful swimming academy in the history of Venezuela. Helping thousands of children, adults, and people with special needs achieve their goals and guide them on a productive life’s path. Step Up for students

David’s Swim School proudly accepts the Step Up for Students scholarship program. This Florida state scholarship helps families cover educational expenses, including swimming lessons and aquatic programs. Through this initiative, eligible students can participate in our certified swim programs, which focus on safety, confidence, and skill development, making quality aquatic education accessible to everyone.
